Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using The Safe Click Project.
Effective date: May 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of thesafeclickproject.com and the courses, lessons, downloads, and emails delivered through it (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Who We Are
The Safe Click Project is an independent cybersecurity education initiative founded and operated by Bobbi Jo Halladay. Throughout these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “The Safe Click Project” mean Bobbi Jo Halladay, doing business as The Safe Click Project. “You” means the person using the Service.
Using the Service
You may use The Safe Click Project to:
- Read, watch, or download any lesson, transcript, or resource we publish
- Sign up for any free course we offer
- Sign up for the waitlist for future paid tiers
- Email us at hello@thesafeclickproject.com
You may not use the Service to:
- Republish, resell, or redistribute our lessons or downloads as your own work
- Scrape, copy, or systematically download the site to train a model or build a competing product
- Send us spam, malware, or anything illegal
- Pretend to be someone you're not when signing up or contacting us
Accounts
At launch, The Safe Click Project does not require a traditional account to use the Service. Signing up for a free course means giving us your email so we can deliver the lessons by email. You can unsubscribe at any time, and your email will be removed from our list within seven days.
If we add accounts later (for example, to track lesson progress), we will update these Terms and notify subscribers by email.
Parent-Led CyberSmart Kids Signup
The CyberSmart Kids track is designed to be used by a parent or legal guardian together with a child. By signing up for CyberSmart Kids, you confirm that:
- You are a parent or legal guardian of any child who will use the lessons
- You are at least 18 years old
- You agree to use the lessons in the spirit they're intended — as a starting point for a conversation with your child, not a replacement for one
We do not collect any information about your child. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Educational Use Only
The Safe Click Project is educational. It is not legal advice, financial advice, technical support, or a guarantee that you won't be scammed. We do our best to teach you the patterns and habits that help, but we cannot promise outcomes. Online threats change constantly, and no course can cover every situation. You're responsible for your own decisions about what to click, share, or trust.
Intellectual Property
All lessons, transcripts, videos, PDFs, audio, images, illustrations, and text on The Safe Click Project are owned by Bobbi Jo Halladay, except where attributed to another source. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to read, watch, and download our content for your own learning, and to share short excerpts (with attribution and a link back) for non-commercial purposes.
If you want to use our materials in a school, workplace, organization, or any setting beyond personal learning, email hello@thesafeclickproject.com first. We are usually happy to say yes.
User Content
If you email us, reply to one of our lesson emails, or otherwise send us a message, you grant us permission to read your message and reply. We may quote anonymized feedback (without your name or email) in our materials to help future students, but only if it would not embarrass or identify you.
Free Tracks and Future Paid Tiers
Our three audience tracks — CyberSmart Seniors, CyberSmart Teens, and CyberSmart Kids — are free at launch and will stay free. The three progressive tiers (Cyber Basics, Scam-Proof Your Life, Cyber Shield Advanced) are not yet available. If you sign up for a tier waitlist, we'll email you when the tier opens and what it costs. We make no promise about pricing, timing, or final scope of the tiers until they launch.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Safe Click Project is hosted on Netlify and uses Plausible Analytics and MailerLite (see the Privacy Policy). Our lessons may also link to third-party websites (for example, a manufacturer's support page or a government resource). We don't control those sites and we're not responsible for their content.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate at every moment. We do our best to keep lessons current as threats evolve, but we cannot guarantee that every example or recommendation is up to date for your specific situation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Safe Click Project (Bobbi Jo Halladay) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of money, or harm caused by a scam. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, which at launch is zero.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms over time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Utah.
