About The Safe Click Project
The story behind the project.
I built this because no one else was.
I’m Bobbi Jo Halladay, and I founded The Safe Click Project after spending 23 years in regulated healthcare environments. In those years, compliance, data protection, and risk mitigation weren’t abstract concepts. They were daily responsibilities with real consequences. I watched smart, capable people struggle with the same security basics year after year — not because they didn’t care, but because no one had ever explained it in a way that made sense to them.
After completing the University of Utah Cybersecurity Bootcamp, I went looking for a curriculum I could point my parents, my friends, and my neighbors at. Something that would treat them like the audience instead of the afterthought. I couldn’t find one. So I built it.
The Safe Click Project is independent. No sponsors. No investors. No corporate agenda. Just one person who got tired of watching good people get taken advantage of online, and decided to do something useful about it.
Every lesson on this site is written in plain language. No jargon walls. No assumed knowledge. No condescension. If a lesson ever feels like it’s talking down to you, that’s a bug — tell me and I’ll fix it.
— Bobbi Jo
Who this is for
The Safe Click Project is for the people most often targeted by online scams and the people who love them. Specifically:
- Seniors and older adults who want to feel confident, not condescended to
- Teens and preteens who deserve guidance written for them, not at them
- Younger kids — with a parent walking through the lessons alongside them
- Parents and grandparents who want to help the family stay safe online
- Anyone who has been embarrassed to ask a basic question about online safety
How this works
Every course is structured the same way: short lessons designed to be completed in one sitting, plain-language explanations, real-world examples, and a clear action step at the end. No jargon walls. No assumed knowledge. No video that drags on for an hour to fill time.
The three audience tracks — Seniors, Teens, and Kids — are free at launch and they are staying free. The three progressive tiers are coming next, and they’ll be honest one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
